Kelway UK Ltd, the UK’s fastest growing IT reseller, has opened a new regional office in Basingstoke’s Vertex centre. Following the acquisition of Elcom ITG, the IT infrastructure and services group, in June 2007, Kelway has moved quickly to both grow the Elcom business and transition it to the Kelway model. The new 8,600 sq ft Vertex Basingstoke office signals the completion of this transition, and officially opened for business on 4 February 2008.

Kelway supplies technology products and services to a wide range of business customers. The Elcom ITG acquisition added an important new dimension to the Kelway group, establishing the company as a leader in consultancy, infrastructure and management services as well as the fastest growing and most ambitious supplier of core IT solutions. With more than 180 employees across the UK and turnover in excess of £100m, Kelway’s ethos of quality and responsiveness of service has allowed it to grow successfully since its incorporation in 1990. The new office in Basingstoke marks the latest stage in that success. Phil Doye, Chief Executive of Kelway comments:

The opening of our new Basingstoke office comes after a period of aggressive and sustained growth that included the successful acquisition of Elcom. It marks an important milestone in our exciting journey and underscores our commitment to both staff and customers in the dynamic Thames Valley region.

The choice of Vertex state-of-the-art offices is very much in the Kelway mould, as Keith Headland, Services & Operations Director of Kelway, explains:

As a rapidly-growing IT reseller we feel that the clean modern design of the architecture very much reflects our corporate culture, and the convenient location within the Thames Valley will enable us to continue to deliver the unrivalled levels of quality and service that have helped Kelway to succeed in a highly competitive industry.

Kelway was established in 1990 and has expanded dramatically in the past seven years with turnover rising from £12 million to £100 million. With headquarters in London’s Docklands, it has five UK sales offices and a sixth in South Africa. Kelway’s success to date has been based on a combination of a product range that embraces the industry’s leading IT solutions and a practical and professional approach to customer service and delivery. In 2006 Kelway was named both Corporate Reseller of the Year and overall Reseller of the Year at the prestigious CRN Awards.
